Agnieszka Gorgoń-Komor MD

 Agnieszka Gorgoń-Komor - is the graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. She has specialisations in the following fields:

- internal diseases specialist,

- cardiologist,

- aesthetic medicine doctor.

As a senior assistant at the Cardiology Department at the Provincial Hospital in Bielsko-Biała she is the only woman in Poland who implants cardiac pacemakers. Currently she is a deputy department head at the Cardiology Department at the Beskid Oncology Centre– City Hospital in Bielsko-Biała and she is a sole medical practitioner.

Agnieszka Gorgoń-Komor is an active councillor of the City of Bielsko-Biała and is also socially active. Since 2014 she is the President of the Polish Medical Association branch in Bielsko-Biała. She developed a pioneering project entitled ,,Akademia Lekarza Rodzinnego [Family Doctor Academy]" - increasing qualifications of family doctors from the whole Bieliski District, especially through practices within hospital departments, reception rooms. accident & emergency.

Her achievements also include scientific activity: she participated in many national and international scientific conferences, among others, Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro in 2011, in Barcelona in 2014. She is writing her PhD thesis entitled “Ostre zespoły wieńcowe u młodych dorosłych [Acute coronary syndromes of young adults]”.

Klaudiusz Komor MD, PhD

Klaudiusz Komor MD, PhD - internal diseases specialist, cardiologist, Head of the Cardiology Department at the Beskid Oncology Centre– City Hospital in Bielsko-Biała; the President of the District Medical Council of the Bielsko-Biała Regional Chamber of Physicians.

Born in 1973 in Bielsko-Biała, in 1998 graduated from the medical faculty of the Silesian Medical Academy in Katowice, then completed a post-graduate internship in the Provincial Hospital in Bielsko-Biała. In 1999 he has been employed in the Cardiology Department of the Provincial Hospital in Bielsko-Biała where, under the direction of Jerzy Skwarna, MD, PhD, he firstly obtained a specialisation in the field of internal diseases in 2005 and then in the field of cardiology in 2008. Since 2004 he has been carried out the procedures of heart peacemakers and cardioverters defibrillators. In 2013 he started working at Beskid Oncology Centre– City Hospital in Bielsko-Biała as a deputy department head at the Cardiology Department. In December 2013 he has started to serve the function of the Head of this department which he serves to the present day.

Soon after the completion of the post graduate internship he started to act actively in the Medical self-government. In 2001 he became the youngest member of the Supreme Medical Council which member he remains uninterruptedly to the present day through four successive terms of office. During his first term of office he was the President of the Young Physicians Team of the Supreme Medical Council and during the next two terms of offices the President of the International Cooperation Team of the Supreme Medical Council and participated in international meetings of medical organisations, including The Standing Committee of European Doctors in Brussels. In the Regional Chamber of Physicians, he sequentially served a function of the Deputy President of the District Medical Council, Koordynator Ośrodka Kształcenia [the Education Centre Coordinator], Editor-in-chief of the Supreme Information Bulletin and since 2013 he serves a function of the President of the District Medical Council of the Bielsko-Biała Regional Chamber of Physicians.

Hobbies: caravanning and travels, sport, volleyball, fishing.
