Agnieszka Gorgoń-Komor MD
Agnieszka Gorgoń-Komor - is the graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. She has specialisations in the following fields:
- internal diseases specialist,
- aesthetic medicine doctor.
As a senior assistant at the Cardiology Department at the Provincial Hospital in Bielsko-Biała she is the only woman in Poland who implants cardiac pacemakers. Currently she is a deputy department head at the Cardiology Department at the Beskid Oncology Centre– City Hospital in Bielsko-Biała and she is a sole medical practitioner.
Agnieszka Gorgoń-Komor is an active councillor of the City of Bielsko-Biała and is also socially active. Since 2014 she is the President of the Polish Medical Association branch in Bielsko-Biała. She developed a pioneering project entitled ,,Akademia Lekarza Rodzinnego [Family Doctor Academy]" - increasing qualifications of family doctors from the whole Bieliski District, especially through practices within hospital departments, reception rooms. accident & emergency.
Her achievements also include scientific activity: she participated in many national and international scientific conferences, among others, Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro in 2011, in Barcelona in 2014. She is writing her PhD thesis entitled “Ostre zespoły wieńcowe u młodych dorosłych [Acute coronary syndromes of young adults]”.
